Superman used to have to deal with Bizarro world, a place where everything got stood on its head. it's hard not to be reminded of that when the USA is currently in a fight for its sanity and its survival.

In the White House is a man who has a religious robot for a VP, Gollam as a lawyer, a snide POS as FEMA head, an EPA dept led by someone who never met a fossil fuel he didn't like. An education secretary who thinks children at school should be armed in case of bear attacks. Who is rolling back workers protections which has led to much cheering and clinking of glasses from the conglomerates. Global warming is a Chinese hoax. Who wants to remove the protection of pre-existing conditions from health care providers. Who has implemented tax changes that has significantly benefited the already very rich. Who wants to keep children and families in detention camps indefinitely. He is the epitome of a sociopath and whilst I understand some of his base (knuckle-dragging haters) those so-called Christians that give him such firm support reveal themselves to be nothing other than disgusting hypocrites that deserve the contempt of anyone with a brain cell count of at least double figures. These things need saying and we should never underestimate just what a bunch crooks and megalomaniacs have been placed in positions of great responsibility by the man-child. If you want to place blame, place it at the feet of the GOP who are absolute cowards for enabling Donald Dump to make a complete mockery of the USA.

If you ever wondered if the lunatics taking over the asylum could be anything other than a cliched phrase then by God you know different now.

Batshit crazy 'fundies' love Trump because...........

.........It's been a mystery to me how so many deeply religious fundies have not only embraced Trump but worship him like he's the Second Coming. You know the type. There's people here in Pennsylvania who get on their knees each day and give thanks to God for Trump.

Considering that Trump has broken nearly every commandment numerous times and appears to exhibit no shame or remorse, they love him! Ted Cruz would happily warm his dick in his mouth in winter. Very fucking strange.

Are those fundies devil worshippers? Do they hide their true nature behind the raising of the Bible?

It has been on my mind a lot since the Fake El Duce sat his fat ass down in the Oval Office. Just could not reconcile it.

Well, I had a light bulb go off in my head earlier today and, suddenly, it made sense....to me anyway.

Over the years that I've been in the US I've discovered that all the stories about religious fundies are true and that there are far more of these crazies than I had ever expected. Not only that, their craziness takes many forms - Westboro Baptist Church? Ted Cruz spent three hours on his knees with his pastor, father and family before finally believing that God had given him a sign that he should toss his hat in the ring in 2016.  True story.

However, their craziness is not the reason that they worship Trump. Here's the reason I think it is - just my opinion. If you do a search online for "the rapture", check out the number of websites and forums that embrace it. The one I used to read is called 'Rapture Ready' and it is full of people who think it is going to be so cool when God takes them up to heaven and leaves the punks like me to drink all the beer.

These people WANT armageddon. They prey for it. They are desperate for it - read the forums! They do not want to wait so they see signs of the apocalypse everywhere.

And now they have their champion. A man who is so fucking demented that he'll probably nuke Korea if Kim Jong Un tells him his golf handicap sucks.

They know Trump is a piece of shit with no redeeming qualities but they also believe he's their best chance of getting Raptured without having to do that bit about dying, getting buried and waiting to be dug up.

As for the 'patriots'. Trump hates blacks, Latinos, Muslims, people from shithole countries, so he's their boy and he's promised them a race war so they can start blasting. Sadly, I think there's a lot more combat ready (street wars) blacks and Latinos than white trash so the race war will probably not even last till dinner time and we can all get back to some kind of normality.

BTW: My comments aimed at religion are firmly focussed on the crazies. I have no problem at all with religion as I know it i.e. religion where you are not taught to hate, condemn or repress but rather to love and support. Just wanted to make that clear.
